When you’re ready for a moment at the lake, call me for availability and pricing.

Located on the edge of the Adirondack Park in northern New York, our cabin has room to sleep 7 in winter and 13 in summer. We leave the kitchen fully stocked with spices and kitchen tools that make it feel like it’s your home too. We’re just an hour and half (including ferry ride) from Burlington, VT and 45 minutes from beautiful Lake Placid.

What would a typical day look like, you ask?

To start, spend your mornings sipping a warm drink on the screened-in porch or in a chair out on the rocks. Go for a cool morning dip in the lake or wait until the sun gets hot and jump off the dock! (Or both, why not?)

In the afternoon, head to the sandy beach for more swimming or relaxing in a chair, while the kids explore the surroundings for minnows, shells, snails, and seaweed. Take your tennis game to a new level at the two clay courts, and enjoy a long walk along the quiet roads and into the woods. If you bring your own boat, hook it up to the buoy in front of the camp so you have easy access to take it out for a spin on the waves. Lake Champlain makes for some excellent tubing! On a chilly day, start a wood fire in our indoor fireplace and get out a board game and some snacks. If it’s fall, enjoy the color of the leaves right from the house or drive through the mountains to see them all.

Spend your evenings with the lights of the camp off so you can stargaze on the rocks by a fire at the clearest sky around. You’ll enjoy the Milky Way like you’ve never seen it. On a stormy night, pull out a table for some card playing or relax in a comfy chair with a good book.

You won’t want to leave, but when you do, head out to any of the excellent hiking options nearby (a family favorite is Rattlesnake), or grab some ice cream at Stewart’s Shops. Take the ferry to Burlington just for fun, or go explore Shelburne Farms, hike an Adirondack mountain, visit Fort Ticonderoga, or the Shelburne Museum. In the winter, drive over to Lake Placid for Olympic-level skiing and a bobsled ride, or shop for some quaint Adirondack goodies.

Most of all, we hope that you spend your time enjoying your family, relaxing, and watching the ever-changing beauty of the lake and sky.
